Course Overview
The MBA is an internationally recognised postgraduate business
and management degree aimed at professionals who aspire to senior
management and leadership positions.
We aim to provide students with the broad-based understanding
required to be successful in cross-functional business environments
and for augmenting their skills as needed to operate at higher
management levels.

Course Content
The course covers the key management concepts of the 21st
century including the management of people, leadership, operations
and information, accounting and finance, marketing, strategy and
managing organisational change and the global economy. This
programme has a wide focus in which strategic issues are a main
driver. The programme of study covers both the domestic and global
business environments. Students enrolled on this course will
also be provided with English Language Support and Personal
Tutorials in their first term.
Assessment
The taught modules will be assessed predominantly through
individual or group assignments. However, several modules have an
examination as part of the assessment procedure. Students must
study core modules and select two optional modules for study during
Term Two. You must pass all of your modules to attain 120 credits
and progress to the dissertation stage. To be awarded the MBA,
successful completion of the dissertation is required, and 180
credits attained.
Career Impact
This course will prepare you for senior managerial positions in
a range of organisations including: commercial, not-for-profit and
the public sector. Many students undertake an MBA to generally
enhance their career prospects, change career direction, fast-track
their career in their existing organisation and to break through
glass ceilings. In addition, MBA graduates typically generate
significantly increased salaries over their career.

Entrance Requirement
Education
An initial degree from an approved degree-awarding body
or a non-graduate qualification which Glyndŵr University deems of
suitable standard for postgraduate study would be
required.
International students must prove valid qualifications
equivalent to the above requirements.
