Graduation Class of 2020 and 2021
In September 2020 we announced that in light of the ongoing global pandemic, we had made the difficult decision to postpone the Graduation Ceremonies for the Class of 2020. We detailed that we would continue to be guided by Welsh Government advice regarding events, large gatherings and international travel and we have been closely monitoring the ever changing situation.
It is with deep regret that we have now decided once again to postpone the Graduation ceremonies that would have been due to take place in October 2021. As you can imagine, this decision has been based on a multitude of factors and considerations, with the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff at the core of the decision. However, the prospect of any large scale indoor event is still a long way off due to Covid-19.
Whilst we are currently unable to confirm any new dates for the ceremonies, it is hoped that we will be able to hold ceremonies for the Class of 2020 and 2021 in the Spring of 2022, provided Government Guidelines Permit. We need to make sure that any ceremonies taking place can be done so safely, in line with Welsh Government guidance, so that students can confidently celebrate their hard work and success with their friends, family and teaching staff.
We will continue to review with regards to viability of in-person Graduations taking place, after the Welsh Government review of the Coronavirus Control Plan for Wales. This will allow us to assess if in-person ceremonies could be held in spring 2022 without social distancing.

All award certificates will be dispatched independent of the Graduation ceremonies. Once all Assessment Boards have concluded and all results have been published we will print and dispatch all certificates. If the student’s place of study was in the UK, the certificate will be dispatched to the ‘home’ address that we currently hold on file. Students can log in to SITS e:Vision to check that we hold the correct ‘home’ address details. If the student’s place of study was outside of the UK, the certificate will be dispatched to the central office of the partner University and dispatch/ collection of the certificate will be arranged by the partner University. If you have any queries relating to certificates please email: email@example.com
We are currently unable to confirm any new Graduation Ceremony dates as a result of the current Welsh Government guidelines and regulations. Once we are in a position to do so, we will contact students with further details, so we encourage students to regularly check both their personal and student email accounts.
